Count Down to Council Change

A Time For Change

The City of Rocklin has been ruled by the same City Council for many years now and like a stagnant pond, there are no new ideas, direction or vision. Council Persons Peter Hill, Kathy Lund and George Magnuson have each been city council members for over 20 years. Mayor Storey was elected over 10 years ago.

When you look at the voting record of our city council members in the last several years you will see that they vote in unison. They have all become of like mind and no longer speak for the people who put them in office but represent the developers that build over our open spaces, add more traffic, make their millions and leave our city. Our City Council has been in office so long they have lost touch with their constituents.

Coming this November we have a chance to replace three of the ‘old guard’ - Peter Hill, Brett Storey and George Magnuson and elect people to the city council that can truly represent the citizens of Rocklin. Its time to get rid of the old dead wood and make it a time for a New Vision for our city.
